Slovakia
Slovak Republic is one of the youngest European states and also a members of the EU using the Euro currency.
Slovaks are better known as a part of the former Czecho-Slovakia which has peacefully split apart in 1993. However, they have lived and developed here in the country of their origin over the centuries. Slovakia did not exist as an administrative unit for a long period and was mentioned as a country somewhere between the Danube River and the Tatra Mountains. The 20th century brought about the fulfilment of dreams and longings of several generations of Slovaks about an independent state. It came at the end of the 20th century and in the following millennium Slovakia joined the European Union. Nowadays Slovakia records one of the highest economy grows among EU countries with sustainable growth of GDP and decrease of the unemployment rate.
Visitors to Slovakia are attracted by a several, mostly natural highlights such as Tatra mountains, caves - the natural gems, unspoiled nature of the Slovensky Kras or Slovak Paradise in the south of Slovakia but also the cities of Bratislava - capital, Banska Stiavnica - one of the most significant gold mining towns of the ancient Europe, Kosice - the second largest city etc.
The atmosphere of the spontaneous folk traditions from the charming rural areas is also part of Slovak nature full of hospitable families and beautiful woman.
